Mentoring Children of Promise

The Mentoring Children of Promise program services youth with an incarcerated parent. The goal is to provide stabilizing influences in the lives of youth with an incarcerated parent by promoting a trusting, caring relationship with an adult mentor.

Any youth between the ages of 4 and 18 who reside in Vigo County and have a parent who is currently incarcerated in state or federal prison are eligible for this program. Mentors are screened very carefully and receive training prior to being matched with a youth. Mentor/mentee relationships are supported by professional staff. Support services and/or referrals to families of mentored children are provided as needs are identified.

For more information or to volunteer please contact Linda Jones or Elaine Pastore.
